Meet Cyndi

Ladies, we all have influence.

Whether you work at home or in an office, single or married, whether you have children to not, you have influence.

The important thing is how you influence the people God has entrusted you with.

Genesis 3 says, Eve influenced her husband to eat the forbidden fruit. In Genesis 6, Sarah couldn’t conceive, so she convinced her husband Abraham to marry her maidservant, Hagar, and she conceived a child. Sarah tried to fulfill God’s promise in her own way.

I love the story of Esther. She was planted in a pagan palace so she could influence a king to spare her people, the Jews. What an incredible influence!

Abigail was the picture of grace under fire. She diffused the temper of a future King David and intervened in what could have been an out-of-control conflict.

A woman not in the Bible but who certainly has influenced my life was my Mom. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2009, and she only lived seven weeks.

Mom said she had spent her whole life teaching us how to live for Christ, and now she was going to show us how to die for Christ. And she did!

Mom is still influencing me today, and I’m so thankful for the legacy of faith she left those who knew her.

None of these were women in great leadership roles, but they all had influence.

We may never influence a king, but we can be a godly influence to the people around us.

What kind of influence will you be?

xo, Cyndi
